Projects

This page highlights some of the amateur radio projects that I have worked on click on the image to see more information about a project.
ESP32 cw training aid

This project takes all the learing from the Arduino projects and improves the performance by using a much higher spec processor. It also adds send practice, receive practice and signal analysis functions to the cw decoder functionality.

New matching transformer design

Due to supply issues with the core for the Dual Beam Pro and I-Pro Home matching transformers, I have developed new versions with 400W and 1000W options.

Arduino CW decoder update

An improvement to the user interface using a stand alone Nextion display unit. This display has its own processing capability and is controlled over a serial link using a custom command set and programming language.

Arduino CW decoder

This is a more challenging project due to the limited processing and memory of the Arduino. I learnt a lot of new things on the way and ended up with a working device. I found a lot of very similar devices appearing on eBay after first publishing this information!

The limitations of this project have been addressed in the ESP32 version but many of the principles have been carried forward from this Arduino project.

Arduino oscilloscope

A mini oscilloscope using the Arduino microprocessor and a 128 x 64 monochrome OLED display. This was a project that I chose to provide an introduction to microprocessors resulting in a useful too for testing and developing further projects.
